Brushstrokes on the Wall attempts to explore how it is sometimes hard to express voices inside of ourselves. These visual presentation of brushstrokes are abstract forms of voices which are not heard in the society.
About the Artist
Mitsuko Nakagawa is an interdisciplinary artist who expresses a conflict between society and the government of Japan through her projection art. After running her textile studio in Tokyo for over 15 years, she changed her medium from textile to media art. She currently graduated from the MFA program in Film and Media Arts from Emerson College and works to provide projection art in a local community as well as presenting her work internationally.
